The original Air Jordan 12 ‘Playoffs’ will make a comeback as part of the All-Star Weekend lineup to commemorate its 25th anniversary. The pair of sneakers, aptly named “Playoffs,” were first worn by Michael Jordan in 1997 during the NBA playoffs. Following that, the basketball star was seen wearing the ‘Playoffs’ during other NBA Finals games. Jordan’s most memorable moment occurred when he assisted the Chicago Bulls in winning the NBA Championship against the Utah Jazz. Many sneakerheads considered the ‘Playoffs’ to be a popular model.
The standard model has been released twice by the brand over the years. The first time was in 2004 and the last time was in 2012, making it ten years on the market. The Jordan Brand created iterations of the ‘Playoffs’ in addition to the standard model. The low-top, cleated, and even an Air Force 1 Fusion are all included.

The color combination of the sneakers, which comes in black, white, and red, is what ‘Playoffs’ fans are most excited about when they learn that Jordan Brand will release this pair of sneakers. The 2022 version is built similarly to the original pair from 1997, with black leather uppers and white on the mudguard, midsole, and rubber outsole. The top two eyelets, as well as the branding on the side, have metallic silver accents. The tongue, heel tab, and insoles all feature the iconic Red Jumpman.
