Monopoly Is Dropping a ‘Stranger Things’ Collector’s Edition - 1 minute read
Monopoly 'Stranger Things' Collector's Edition
The commodification of Stranger Things continues to blow ahead at full steam, as Hasbro has announced a Monopoly collector’s edition for the hit Netflix show. The whole board has been redesigned to include Hawkins, Ind., with all the familiar settings. Boardwalk and Park Place, for example, have been replaced by The Fairgrounds and Starcourt Mall, respectively.
The greatest details are in the new board pieces. The Eggo waffle is likely to be the first piece chosen, with Lucas’ slingshot, a Dungeons & Dragons die, and Steve Harrington’s baseball bat among the other options.
You can pre-order the game now over at GameStop for $50. For more Stranger Things drops, check out our limited edition clothing collab.
On this episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by Jabari “Jacuzzi” Khaled, founder of Basketball Skateboards and under-the-radar creative who’s worked with your favorite designer’s favorite designers.
