Moyland GoFundMe Set Up to Help Sally Represent USA in Chengdu - 1 minute read
(by Steve Hopkins)
USA Table Tennis has limited funds, so often while other countries send their full team with alternate players, Team USA is only able to fund the core team. This year, 15 year old phenom Sally Moyland has been invited to join the US National Team to play in the Team Championships in Chengdu, China – but in order to participate, she must self-fund her trip.
Last week, Dan Reynolds established a GoFundMe page to benefit Sally in hopes of helping fund her trip. Her attendance at the Team Championships does not just provide valuable experience, but as an alternate Sally could help TeamUSA if a player is hurt or tired or if her participation created a positive match-up.
The goal of the GoFundMe page is to raise $7,000. To donate, visit the Sally Moyland Road to the World Team Championships GoFundMe page.
