PM Modi to launch a campaign to recruit 10 lakh people
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 'Rozgar Mela,' a campaign to recruit 10 lakh people through video conference on October 22 and appointment letters will be handed over to 75,000 candidates during the ceremony, the PMO said on Thursday.
The PMO said this would be an essential step in fulfilling the Prime Minister's ongoing commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and ensure the well-being of the citizens.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, as per the instructions of Modi, all ministries and departments are working to fill up the existing vacancies in the sanctioned posts in "mission mode."
The recruits selected from the country will join 38 Ministries or Departments of the Government of India. The appointees will join the government at various levels in Group A and B (Gazetted), Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Group C. The posts to which the appointments are made include Central Armed Forces personnel, Sub-Inspectors, Police, LDCs, Steno, PAs, Income Tax Inspectors and MTS, among others.
Ministries and Departments execute these contracts independently or through contracting agencies like UPSC, SSC and Railway Contracting Board. The PMO said that the selection processes had been streamlined and technology-enabled for speedy recruitment.
