#TheLastSamurai: The Samurai warriors were finally defeated in Japan with modern warfare technology.

These obsolete and proud warriors finally attacked a fully equipped Japanese army, that had Gatling machine guns and rifles. 

And all these Samurai warriors had for their defense were swords and horses.

I guess they wanted to commit harikari, or Japanese suicide.
