Marshmello Collaborates With Juice WRLD On Their Latest Hip Hop Collaboration, “Bye Bye” - 1 minute read

Despite releasing a half-dozen new tracks this year, Marshmello appears to have departed the overall EDM zeitgeist. Much of this is due to his recent emphasis on hip hop collaborations, including collaborations with Khalid, Tokischa, Rico Nasty, and Trippie Redd. His most recent collaboration, out today, sees him hook up with Juice WRLD for “Bye Bye,” another rather dull record with autotuned vocals and an exceedingly simplistic rhythm that is less than two minutes long.

Going this path, it’s difficult to discern what Marshmello’s aim is here. We haven’t seen his name on many event rosters either. He only released one song this year in his customary manner, “Before U,” but it was in March, his first release of the year. We’ll have to wait and see what Marshmello has in store for 2023, but the Marshmello that some younger fans grew up with may not be the Marshmello we know in the future. Listen to Juice WRLD’s “Bye Bye” below.
