Quinning

The MAC Quinning Eyeshadow x 8 Palette offers a more spring-time, pastel-leaning color story, which can frequently cause problems for businesses because pastel eyeshadows are difficult to execute effectively… and even more so when the brand isn’t particularly known for its eyeshadow. I was just thinking about how much I used to adore MAC’s eyeshadows and how little they fascinate me now because time seems to fly by for me! In actuality, MAC hasn’t been my “go-to” eyeshadow brand in over a decade. I’m shocked the recipe hasn’t reverted to its original shape after all these time.

However, this palette only serves as a reminder of how much the formula has changed over the years; the eyeshadows were sheerer, drier, thinner, and more prone to fading throughout the palette. To make it work, you’d need a nice eyeshadow primer (something with a little of tackiness) or damp brushes.

Ingredients

Lemon Fizz

Lemon Fizz has a satin texture and is a medium yellow with delicate, warm undertones.

Mint Cloud

Mint Cloud is a pale minty green with cold undertones and a silky sheen.

Mono Dramatic

Mono Dramatic is a vibrant sky blue with cold undertones and a sparkling finish.

Gleam Queen

Gleam Queen is a bright pink with cold undertones and a shimmery texture. Because of the texture, this worked best as a sheer wash of glitter.

Blush Goddess is a pure white base with a faint green-gold shift.

Fairy Fiasco

Fairy Fiasco is a light-medium pink with cold, blue-based undertones and a satiny gloss. This color literally ate up my lids!
