Dior Early Bird (659) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette - 2 minutes read
Early Bird (659)
Dior Early Bird (659) 5 Couleurs Couture Eyeshadow Palette is a new, limited edition palette for the fall season. All five shades were blendable, long-wearing, and easy to use, while two shades were more semi-opaque and buildable rather than fully opaque. The formula felt like a gel-powder hybrid, so they have a more “baked” quality to them, which can require a slightly heavier hand if one is used to working with more powdery formulas.
Early Bird #1
Early Bird #1 is a bright, light-medium red with warmer undertones and a metallic sheen. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, which applied well to my lid and diffused easily along the edges. The eyeshadow was moderately dense without being stiff or too firmly-pressed into the pan. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
Early Bird #2
Early Bird #2 is a light pewter with warmer, yellow tones and a metallic sheen. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that applied well to bare skin. The texture was moderately dense, firm but not stiff to work with, and blendable. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.
Early Bird #3
Early Bird #3 is a light, peachy-pink with moderate, warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage with a soft, lightly dusty texture that was moderately dense but not too firm. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.
Early Bird #4
Early Bird #4 is a deep yellow with warm undertones and a satin finish. The texture was smooth, moderately dense, and felt firmer–it required some pushing to get product off the surface, but it applied evenly and blended out particularly well. It had rich color payoff that stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.
Dior Early Bird #5 High Colour Eyeshadow
Early Bird #5
Early Bird #5 is a blackened plum with warm undertones and a soft, metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well as the texture was dense but not overly firm. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.
