Naomi Campbell Stars In London-Based Fashion Label Self-Portrait’s “The Bow Is Mine” Campaign - 1 minute read
Han Chong, Founder and Creative Director of London-based fashion label Self-Portrait, has collaborated with Renell Medrano, Haley Wollens, and Naomi Campbell to pay homage to the ’90s — an era that continues to influence and inspire the brand — to bring to life the attitude and sensibility of Self-debut Portrait’s collection of bags.
The video-led campaign is set to the original ’90s famous hit single “The Boy Is Mine” by Brandy and Monica and is rooted in the spirit of an inspired moment in fashion and creative cultural history. Naomi Campbell, directed and photographed by Renell Medrano, plays the bold and provocative protagonist beside her Bow Bag.
The video was shot in a variety of rooms in a private house in London and depicts a series of imagined phone conversations with just one certainty: the Bow is hers. Haley Wollens styles Naomi in pieces from Self-forthcoming Portrait’s Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, including a sequined two-piece skirt and crop top, power mesh long sleeve gown, and knitted midi dress.
The Bow Bag appears with two versions — the Bow Mini and the Bow Micro — inspired by the comfort and flexibility associated with the Self-Portrait brand.
