Surah Al-Balad In The Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful I swear by this city (Makkah); ( Quran Surah Al-Balad 90:1 ) And you are free (from sin, to punish the enemies of Islam on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah). ( Quran Surah Al-Balad 90:2 ) And by the begetter (i.e. Adam ) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny); ( Quran Surah Al-Balad 90:3 ) Verily, We have created man in toil. ( Quran Surah Al-Balad 90:4 ) Thinks he that none can overcome him? ( Quran 90:5 ) He says (boastfully): “I have wasted wealth in abundance!” ( Quran 90:6 ) Thinks he that none sees him? ( Quran 90:7 ) Have We not made for him a pair of eyes? ( Quran 90:8 ) And a tongue and a pair of lips? ( Quran 90:9 ) And shown him the two ways (good and evil)? ( Quran 90:10 ) But he has made no effort to pass on the path that is steep. ( Quran 90:11 ) And what will make you know the path that is steep? ( Quran 90:12 ) (It is) Freeing a neck (slave, etc.) ( Quran 90:13 ) Or giving food in a day of hunger (famine), ( Quran 90:14 ) To an orphan near of kin. ( Quran 90:15 ) Or to a Miskin (poor) afflicted with misery. ( Quran 90:16 ) Then he became one of those who believed, and recommended one another to perseverance and patience, and (also) recommended one another to pity and compassion. ( Quran 90:17 ) They are those on the Right Hand (the dwellers of Paradise), ( Quran 90:18 ) But those who disbelieved in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), they are those on the Left Hand (the dwellers of Hell). ( Quran 90:19 ) The Fire will be shut over them (i.e. they will be enveloped by the Fire without any opening or window or outlet. ( Quran 90:20 ) SHARE THIS:
