Chanel Douceur et Serenite (378) Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow is a smokier, purple-plum color story that includes two matte shades and two satin-to-pearl shades. There was some variety in depth and finish, so I could see lighter and darker looks, though I expect looks to lean a little smoky overall. All four shades had higher coverage, were blendable, and picked up readily with a dry brush, and they lasted around eight hours on me.

It had opaque color coverage that wasn’t prone to sheering out, which was a happy surprise. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, while the texture was smooth, finely-milled without being powdery, which made it easy to apply and blend out as desired. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

Douceur et Serenite #3 is a light-medium purple with soft, warm undertones and a pearl finish. It had rich color coverage with a soft, smooth texture that was finely-milled and blendable, though I found it looked more semi-matte to satin when applied and blended out. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Douceur et Serenite #4 is a medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. The eyeshadow had opaque pigmentation paired with a smooth, finely-milled consistency that was dense (so not powdery) but easy to pick up with a dry brush and blended out beautifully. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.
