Eat Breakfast Every Day

No Matter how late you're running to work, don't leave the house without taking your breakfast. One habit that's common to many people who have lost weight and kept it off is eating breakfast every day. Most people think that skipping breakfast is the best solution to cut the calories, but they end up eating more throughout the day. There is a reason why it is called the most important meal of the day and you should know that your body and brain needs to be refueled a few times each day. Also note that missing breakfast slows down your metabolism and studies show that people who never miss breakfast have a lower Body Mass Index than breakfast skippers. My main advice to you is to eat foods rich in protein. Scrambled eggs and a few sausage links will keep you fuller longer than an airy doughnut will.

Lose Weight by Sleeping

Sleep is more than just a pretty-making mechanism. Getting enough sleep can keep your body from storing fat, scientist research reveals. In recent years, scientific research has found that insufficient sleep increases the risk of gaining weight and increasing body fat. Research also found that resting for longer suppresses the obesity gene and makes you slim down. Sleeping could be the best solution if you have a genetic tendency to pile on the pounds, scientists claim. Nine hours sleep at night is the solution to burning some extra fat and losing weight. Studies are now showing how a simple tweak to your bedtime ritual can have dramatic effects in shrinking fat tissue while reversing the signs of premature biological aging every time you fall asleep. The funny thing is, if you do this one thing, your body will actually take care of the rest. It's strange. Cravings, disease, obesity, premature aging, even many issues in mental health are showing to completely resolve ON THEIR OWN. This is the lynchpin no one is talking about.

Learn The Art Of Portion Control

If you can master this one thing alone, then the weight will start to come off. You can eat almost anything in moderation, yes even tasty fatty foods. It is all about striking a good balance, not starving yourself. I was always brought up to show good manners by finishing everything on my plate. But in a world of huge portions and excess, this is the wrong thing to do. If you eat too quickly, you will miss the signal that your stomach sends to your brain to tell you that it is full. If you eat through this you end up bloated and stuffed. The best thing to do is eat slowly and enjoy every mouthful, once you start to feel full stop. It is crucial to know when to stop.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Drink a lot of water. Water has so many benefits besides being an important aid to losing weight. Water flushes toxins from your system as well as fight fatigue. Drink water throughout the day. Water is also good for your skin and muscle tone; don't allow yourself to become dehydrated. Water also makes your metabolism burn calories faster. I bet now you appreciate water a little more don't you?

Eat half portion

Separate a meal into half portions on two plates. Then slowly eat from the first plate. By the time you have finished the food on the plate, just ask yourself are you satiated? Do you need to eat from the second plate? Most of the time, you will find that you can be full enough not to eat from the second plate or just some portion of it will be enough.

Put your utensils down

You see, during a meal, your stomach takes about twenty minutes to communicate to your brain that you are full and to stop eating. So the idea is to eat slowly and one way to do that is to put your eating utensils down after every bite. Then munch the food in your mouth slowly as you watch the world go by, take a sip of water or chat with a friend to while away the time before taking another bite and then put down your utensils again for every subsequent bite.
