The weight loss methods were purportedly discovered by military personnel in Afghanistan during a recent military operation.
Can you really lose 20 pounds with LumaSlim in just a few weeks? How does LexaPure LumaSlim’s work? Find out everything you need to know about LumaSlim and how it works today in our review.
What is LumaSlim?
LumaSlim is a weight loss system and diet pill.
You can buy the LexaPure LumaSlim diet pill on its own. Or, you can buy a package containing LumaSlim, diet guides, and another LexaPure supplement named AdrenaVitals.
By taking LumaSlim and AdrenaVitals supplements daily and following LexaPure’s weight loss guidance, you can purportedly lose a significant amount of weight.
According to LumaSlim’s official website at The5SecondMethod.com, you can lose 20 pounds in just a few weeks by following the LumaSlim program.
The makers of LumaSlim describe the system as “your new secret to easy weight loss,” claiming you can lose a substantial amount of weight “without having to go to the gym” or follow a strict diet.
Instead, you can eat whatever you like, exercise as much as you want, and still lose stubborn belly fat by following LumaSlim. LumaSlim claims to work with minimal diet and exercise required because it’s the only diet system that “activates your fat-burning switch.”
Obviously, you should be skeptical of any weight loss system that promises easy and effective weight loss with zero effort, exercising, or dieting required. Let’s take a closer look at how LumaSlim works.
About The5SecondMethod.com: The Story Behind LumaSlim
The makers of LumaSlim advertise their weight loss program through a website called The5SecondMethod.com.
That website describes LumaSlim as “a bizarre fat loss shortcut” that was “first uncovered in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.”
In a fake news report on the website, a presenter raves about the weight loss effects of LumaSlim, citing an unrelated study where the average person lost “20 lbs in just a few weeks.”
That presenter claims LumaSlim is so popular that thousands of people are using the trick every day to lose significant amounts of weight with no effort, exercise, or hard work required. Just follow the LumaSlim plan, then watch the weight fall off of you.
The only way to way to lose weight is by maintaining a caloric deficit. If you burn more calories than you consume, then you’ll lose weight. The best way to maintain a caloric deficit is to eat a balanced diet while exercising. Some diet pills can complement diet and exercise, but few diet pills lead to significant weight loss when taken on their own.
Let’s take a closer look at how LumaSlim works – and how much weight you can realistically expect to lose with the formula.
How Does LumaSlim Work?
The LumaSlim sales page provides limited information about how the diet pill and program work. Most of the sales page focuses on the program’s health benefits, including how much weight you can expect to lose.
The sales page is filled with stories of people losing a significant amount of weight with the program and then enjoying noticeable benefits.
Some of the claims on the LumaSlim sales page include:
- LumaSlim is the secret to easy weight loss with no exercise or fad diets required
- Just take two capsules per day to lose 20 pounds in a few weeks
- Get “a new you in a bottle;” transform your body within 90 days just by taking two supplements
- Stop being held back by unwanted weight around your belly, hips, and arms
- Activate your fat-burning switch all the time
- Start burning fat all day, every day
LumaSlim doesn’t just claim to activate your fat-burning switch. It claims to be the only diet pill that activates your fat-burning switch. It also claims to leave that fat-burning switch on all day, every day. You’ll never stop losing weight while taking LumaSlim, according to the official website.
“When you take LumaSlim, you will be burning fat and losing weight every single day…unless you want to keep gaining weight…you must turn your fat-burning switch on by taking LumaSlim daily.”
Some supplements claim your metabolism is your fat-burning switch. Others claim it’s a specific hormone. LexaPure claims LumaSlim activates a specific fat-burning switch called Hormone Sensitive Lipase (HSL).
About Hormone Sensitive Lipase (HSL)
LexaPure claims LumaSlim works by targeting Hormone Sensitive Lipase (HSL).
LexaPure claims your body fat can become trapped by “a kind of biological one-way valve” known as HSL.
When your HSL is not activated, your body will not release stored fat – even if you eat right and exercise. This makes it impossible to lose weight. According to LexaPure, that’s why many people struggle to lose weight even while following a strict exercise and diet routine.
The ingredients in LumaSlim purportedly lead to the following effects by targeting HSL:
- Release trapped body fat
- Blast away harmful stress
- Help control hunger throughout the day
- Produce 4x more weight loss than dieting alone
- Provide incredible energy, clarity, and mental focus while boosting brain power
LexaPure LumaSlim Ingredients
A crucial part of the LumaSlim weight loss system is to take the LexaPure LumaSlim diet pill daily.
This diet pill purportedly leads to 20 pounds of weight loss within your first few weeks of taking it – even without dieting or exercising.
So how does LumaSlim work? What do the ingredients do?
LumaSlim contains four listed ingredients, including Rhodiola rosea extract, konjac root extract, alpha-lipoic acid, and black pepper extract, including:
- 150mg of ArcticRoot (Rhodiola rosea root extract) standardized to contain 3% rosavins and 2% salidrosides by weight
- 300mg of LilyRoot (Konjac root extract) standardized to contain 90% glucomannan fiber by weight
- 150mg of Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA)
- 6mg of BioPerine black pepper fruit extract
- Other ingredients like brown rice flour and vegetable cellulose
These ingredients purportedly activate HSL, a special lipase that your body uses to free fatty acids. By taking two capsules of LumaSlim daily, you give your body the ingredients it needs to start burning fat.
The makers of LumaSlim provide limited information about how each ingredient works or what it does after entering your body. However, the company insists their formula “is guaranteed to be 100% safe and effective” for anyone.
How Does LexaPure AdrenaVitals Work?
Some LumaSlim packages come with a supplement called AdrenaVitals.
The company describes AdrenaVitals as a “fruit-based advanced multivitamin.” The vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in AdrenaVitals can purportedly support your body’s ability to manage physical and mental stress.
Here’s how LexaPure describes the benefits of AdrenaVitals:
“These one-of-a-kind multivitamins pack powerful immune system support while helping to protect the body’s stress-response system with all of the vitamins and minerals you need.”
In other words, AdrenaVitals works similar to any multivitamin formula, giving your body the support it needs to maintain health and wellness.
What is the LumaSlim Transformation Package?
The LumaSlim Transformation Package includes a package of weight loss products, including the two supplements mentioned above and additional weight loss guidance.
Here’s what you get in the LumaSlim Transformation Package:
- 4 x Bottles of LexaPure LumaSlim
- 1 x Bottle of LexaPure AdrenaVitals
- 1 x Lose Weight with LumaSlim Masterclass

Scientific Evidence for LumaSlim
LumaSlim has not completed any clinical trials to verify it works as advertised. There’s no proof LumaSlim leads to an average of 20 pounds of weight loss in just a few weeks, as mentioned on the official website.
The LumaSlim ‘References’ page lists 7 studies on individual ingredients within LumaSlim. Each ingredient in LumaSlim has completed multiple studies, and it’s possible LumaSlim could help you lose weight.
LumaSlim contains a small amount of fiber, which is a proven way to lose weight. Fiber bunches up inside your intestines, helping you physically push waste out of your body. Most doctors recommend getting 25g to 35g of fiber per day. LumaSlim contains around 0.3g of LilyRoot, a konjac root formula containing 90% glucomannan fiber by weight. That’s not a significant dose of fiber (most fiber supplements contain 2g to 5g per serving), but it could provide mild support for weight loss.
LumaSlim cites this 2005 study to justify its weight-loss claims. In that study, researchers gave people glucomannan fiber, then observed the effects. Researchers found that glucomannan led to a significant reduction of body weight in overweight subjects. Participants lost about 0.8kg per week (1.8 pounds) while taking a glucomannan supplement and following a 1,200 calorie diet. The study used a higher dose of fiber than what we see in LumaSlim. Participants followed a very-low-calorie diet – and they still only lost about 8 pounds over one month, much lower than the 20 pounds advertised by LumaSlim.
LumaSlim also contains Rhodiola rosea, a popular herbal extract used for centuries as an adaptogen. Like other adaptogens, Rhodiola rosea could support your body’s ability to protect itself against physical and mental stress. Some studies even connect Rhodiola rosea to anti-aging effects. Some small studies have shown Rhodiola rosea can complement a weight-loss routine by supporting your mood and recovery. Still, few studies have linked Rhodiola rosea to significant weight loss benefits.
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is found in diabetes supplements and weight loss formulas. In 2020, researchers from Oregon State University published a report concluding that ALA Supplements help some obese people lose weight. Researchers gave obese people ALA, then observed weight loss effects and reduced inflammation compared to a placebo. Similarly, this 2018 study reviewed dozens of studies on ALA and weight loss, concluding that ALA “showed small, yet significant short-term
weight loss compared to a placebo.” Again, neither study found that taking ALA led to 20+ pounds of weight loss in a few weeks without diet and exercise.

Overall, there’s no evidence that LumaSlim is a miracle diet pill that will help you lose 20 pounds of weight, on average, with no diet or exercise. It’s possible the ingredients could complement a strict diet and exercise routine to help you lose weight. Still, they’re unlikely to lead to significant weight loss on their own – and there’s certainly no evidence supporting the claim of losing 20 pounds in just a few weeks.
