As Balenciaga‘s creative director, Demna continues to showcase his knack for launching ad campaigns featuring top names from fashion, film, and beyond. This year alone, we’ve seen stars like Kate Moss, Nicole Kidman, Amelia Gray, and Yang Chaoyue leading the Paris-based fashion house’s campaigns (established by Spanish couturier Cristóbal Balenciaga in 1919). Next in line are renowned actress Naomi Watts, French cinema legend Isabelle Huppert (Balenciaga’s first-ever ambassador), and returning campaign star Kim Kardashian (who became a brand ambassador in early 2024). The “Characters” campaign series, photographed by Nadav Kander, captures each woman portraying a different facet of herself, seated in a simple chair against a white seamless background.
