If you’re planning a trip away for July 4th, the time to book your plane ticket is now.

According to data from a new Adobe Travel Insights report, flights booked for 4th of July weekend are at their lowest between February 2 and February 22nd. That means you have just a few more days to snag that flight before prices start to rise. According to Adobe, customers can expect to save 35% on those flights right now in comparison to what they would pay if they booked the same flight last minute.

And if you think no one buys last-minute tickets, think again: Adobe says that the day before a flight is traditionally the largest single day of sales for a flight. Those tickets are also, on average, 30% more expensive than they would have been had they been booked earlier.

Adobe got those dates by analyzing over 1 trillion visits (yes,1 trillion) to more than 4,500 different travel booking websites.

If you don’t plan on traveling for July 4th but do have travel plans this summer, Adobe says that as a general rule you should try to buy your plane tickets between 21 and 35 days on your trip, with 21 days being the cutoff time where things start to get a little pricer.

You also want to try and avoid flying on Fridays. This is definitely something most frequent fliers already know, but Adobe confirmed in the report that airfare is traditionally much cheaper if you’re able to fly on a Saturday or mid-week rather than a Friday.

A few tweaks to when you buy your tickets and when you travel can help save you a ton of cash, cash that you can use to buy a few more cocktails when you reach that vacation destination.
