Singer John Legend is back with a new single called “Dope,” which features rapper J.I.D. The song is the first single from his new album, which was just unveiled. Legend, Charlie Puth, Tedder, and Kirkpatrick co-wrote “Dope,” which was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick and Ryan Tedder.

The song has an uptempo rhythm that evokes the start of Summer with a block party ambiance. Legend’s forthcoming album will be his first with new label partner EMI. It will be his first album release since 2020’s “Bigger Love.”
