Mary J. Blige, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul, has just unveiled her latest single, “Breathing,” featuring Fabolous. Released through her own Beautiful Life Productions in collaboration with 300 Entertainment, the track was produced by Shaun “S Dot” Thomas.

“Breathing” was co-written by Mary J. Blige, Fabolous, Jocelyn “Jozzy” Donald, PurpleKBeats, and Jay Hawkins. It features samples from The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Kick In The Door” and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put A Spell On You,” with additional inspiration from Nina Simone’s version of the latter. Alongside the single, a new music video has also been released.

This marks Blige’s second new single since her last album “Good Morning Gorgeous,” following “Still Believe in Love,” which topped the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay Chart for 7 weeks, earning her eighth #1 on the chart.
