Where does numerology come from?

The numerology or arithmomancie was born there 4000 years, probably in Mesopotamia. In Antiquity, it presented itself as the science of numbers. It gave numbers a magical value, unlike arithmetic which only takes into account their quantitative value.

Is it a science?

Long controversial, numerology made a comeback in the 20th century. Modern numerologists believe that there is a vibrational connection between numbers and any physical manifestation in our universe. However, no influence of numbers on fate or personality has been demonstrated by scientists.

How it works ?

Numerology uses the symbolic language of numbers. This language is considered universal and timeless. The principle is that each number, each date, each name can be represented by digits ranging from 1 to 9, called numerological numbers. The words are somehow translated into the language of the number symbols.

What is the method?

Dates or numbers are reduced by horizontally adding the numbers that compose them as many times as necessary to obtain a number. This "residual" number has its own "vibration" which serves as a basis for interpretation.

Example: the year 1987; 1987 = 1 + 9 + 8 + 7 = 25 = 2 + 5 = 7. The vibration of 1987 is 7. The only exception to this system: the numbers 11 and 22. Called “master numbers”, they have their own numerological meaning. Exception also for the 0, impossible to reduce.

What about the letters?

The same system is applied to letters. Each of them bears the number of the place it occupies in the alphabet 1 for A, 2 for B, etc ... up to 9. Beyond that, the numerological number is obtained by adding the tens and units. Example: J = 12 = 1 + 2 = 3. This system of correspondence between numbers and letters makes it possible to translate a name and a first name or any other word into encrypted language. It suffices to add the figures horizontally and reduce the sum obtained, known as the intermediate number until a number between 1 and 9 is
