Whilst living in Adelaide for five years and then on the back for a short break in March 2021, I discovered Glenelg, SA, is a must-see and the perfect Adelaide tourist spot!
Are you stressed, overwhelmed and COVID fatigued? If so, it's high time to book your next holidays in Australia. With not as many options due to restrictions, you might question if it’s worth it? Australia is proudly known for its beaches, delicious coffee, internationally recognised wine and sunrises that take your breath away and, of course, exotic landscapes. When did you ask yourself, where do I go if I need a short break from work? How to fill in the energyless Me with new positive vibes? The answer is a visit to the diamond of South Australia, Adelaide, or as the locals like to call in Adelaide. Situated on the Adelaide Plains north of the Fleurieu Peninsula, between the Gulf St Vincent in the west and the Mount Lofty Ranges in the east. “Its metropolitan area extends 20 km (12 mi) from the coast to the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges and stretches 96 km (60 mi) from Gawler in the north to Sellicks Beach in the south” (Wikipedia, 2021)

With numerous beaches scattered along the coast, Glenelg hits the mark. Glenelg is a historical location in SA and recognised as the “oldest European settlement on mainland South Australia”. (Glenelg SA, 2021). Not only this is the primary reason to book accommodation here via Booking, Airbnb, or Klook-it’s an opportunity to explore SA in one spot without travelling too far when you are time-restricted.
