Usher Is Releasing A 25th Anniversary Edition Of “My Way” Complete With A Documentary - 2 minutes read
Usher, the R&B superstar, has had a busy 2022 so far. In addition to his NPR: Tiny Desk performance, which drew positive feedback on social media, he has been playing in front of sold-out crowds during his Las Vegas residency. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 7x platinum record, the singer will also release a mini-documentary and a special edition of “My Way.”
Many believe the project to be a classic and one of Usher’s most essential albums, so reliving it with fresh experiences will be a joy for all R&B enthusiasts. The major songs from the 1997 album include “U Make Me Wanna,” “Nice & Slow,” and “My Way.” My Way 25th Anniversary Edition includes the original album in its entirety, as well as three newly reinvented tracks and instrumentals, all recorded by producer/drummer extraordinaire Ryan James Carr.

The Mini-Documentary has exclusive interviews with Usher, Jermaine Dupri, and Ryan James Carr, as well as film of the “making of” the new renditions and never-before-seen archive footage of Usher from the album’s era. The Mini-Documentary, directed by Dolapo Sangokoya, Senior Creative, Content, SME/Legacy, and executive produced by Ash Peters, Senior Producer, Content, SME/Legacy, will premiere exclusively on Usher’s YouTube channel on September 16, 2022.
