HP Pavilion x360 14 unboxing and first impressions

HP's Pavilion x360 14 is designed for the mainstream consumer, not having all of the bells and whistles of a Spectre or Envy x360 PC. Starting at $499.99, you'll get a Core i3 CPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of storage. The model that HP sent me currently costs $599.99 (although apparently it's usually $699.99), and it comes with a Core i5-8265U instead. There's also an $899.99 one with 12GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, and the same Core i5.

It's a solid PC at that price point, offering a lot that consumers need. The convertible form factor adds another dimension to PC use, and it even has pen support. It doesn't come with the pen though, which is actually nice. It allows the consumer to buy the Pavilion x360 at a lower price point, and they can spend money on the pen later on.

It has a 14-inch Full HD display, along with Bang & Olufsen audio, so there should be a great media consumption experience, along with the great productivity experience that comes with being a solid laptop and convertible. The bezels are under 5mm on the sides and under 9mm on top, and you'll need to use the fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello.
