If you've been running around looking for the secret, stop. There is not secret. Starting a business online isn't about finding the perfect program or knowing the top internet marketers. It's about focus, determination, and daily marketing actions.

I don't want to sit here and tell you that anyone can do this, because the truth is not many people have the determination to see it through. But if you focus and stay on task, I can promise you that you can see a result. So what does an internet business consist of?

There are only 3 things that you need. You need traffic, leads and conversions. What are these things? Well, traffic is people to a product. Leads are subscribers to a mailing list. Conversions are sales generating by your marketing funnel. So really all you need to do is collect leads by sending people to a capture page. The marketing funnel will build a relationship with your prospects and close sales for you. That's its job!

So let me go back to the beginning. Not everyone can do this, but the truth is that anyone can do it. What do I mean? Well, not everyone will take action and market their business every day. But anyone can do it. So it's up to you to make it happen. Here's what you need to build a solid business online:

First, you need a game plan. What are you going to do to market your business and sell your products? What is your marketing budget? What is your ultimate goal? I can't tell you enough how important it is to answer these questions. Once you know these things, you can move on to the next step.

Second, you need to pick your offer. What do you want to sell online? Will you join an affiliate program and earn commissions. Maybe you want to create your own "how to" product and sell it to your subscribers. Whatever it is, you need to make a decision.

Third, you need to create content or use paid marketing strategies to generate leads and convert sales. You could write articles and publish them to article directories. You can create videos and promote them on YouTube. You can use paid advertising strategies like e-zine marketing. You can do PPC (pay-per-click) advertising. All you need to do is pick one traffic generation method and master it. Don't do anything else until you have a deeper understanding of how the strategy works. Once you are making good money with any particular strategy, you can move on to test different ones.

I used to run around and try every method I found. This was a big mistake for me. I wasted lots of time and money. Please don't make the same mistake.
