It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for CEO Winkelmann, a true automotive icon, to return to the Lamborghini Lounge to unveil the new masterpiece while demonstrating the brand’s spirit and creative DNA.
“The Huracán Tecnica combines the Huracan’s strong technological competence with superb aerodynamics for increased performance, stability, and ease of usage.” These characteristics make it an outstanding, adaptable automobile to drive both on and off the track. The drastically modified design of the Huracán Tecnica gives the visceral experience and tremendous emotion that fans of the brand have come to anticipate from Lamborghini in 2022, as we commemorate the internal combustion engine,” added Winkelmann.
Last year, the luxury sports brand set new records for sales, turnover, and profitability. The United States remains the world’s largest single market, with 2,472 vehicles supplied in 2021, an 11% rise over 2020. And now, the introduction of the magnificent Huracán Tecnica marks a historic start to an exciting year. The all-new supercar will be on exhibit for public inspection at the New York International Auto Show from April 15 to April 24.

The next-generation rear-wheel drive V10 is a slice of automotive heaven that has the best of both worlds. Developed for pilots seeking driving fun and lifestyle perfection on the road and track, the next-generation rear-wheel drive V10 is a slice of automotive heaven that has the best of both worlds. The Tecnica’s name represents the Huracan’s advanced progression in terms of technological skill, which can be observed both within and outside. The revised styling emphasizes increased aerodynamics for improved performance, stability, and comfort of usage, particularly on a circuit.
Its engine is derived on the Huracán STO, with a 30 CV boost over the Huracán EVO rear-wheel drive. In addition, the powertrain produces 565 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds.
The lightweight Tecnica also comes with a retuned Lamborghini Dinamica Veicola Integrata (LDVI) system, as well as specially tuned driving modes with specialized suspension settings, rear-wheel direct steering, and novel brake cooling enhancements. As a consequence, drivers will be able to enjoy a flawless Huracán for any occasion.

“In an era of virtual experiences, the Tecnica ensures that the pilot has the strongest connection to the car and the asphalt, with the car’s potential always at his fingertips for ease of use in every driving mode and environment: it pays homage to technical purity and physical sensation in an era of virtual experiences.” In a statement, chairman Winkelmann stated, “The Tecnica completes the Huracán line-up, lying ideally between the RWD and the track-focused STO, brilliantly displaying technology, performance, and the Huracán’s V10 aspirated engine in a drastically improved design.”
The supercar’s adaptability extends inside, with many customization options ranging from look to dynamic setup to driver feedback and communication. In addition to the Tecnica’s unique choices, Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department allows customers to customize their Huracán Tecnica with nearly endless color and trim combinations. It is the biggest design upgrade ever done on the Huracán, according to chief designer Borkert on Robb Report, and “it looks new from every aspect.”
