The Librarian Returns With A New EP “ miss u ” - 2 minutes read
The Librarian is widely regarded as one of bass music’s top creative brains and tastemakers, having received international acclaim for her forward-thinking approach to bass, DnB, and footwork. Andrea is both an artist and an entrepreneur, and her reputation as an inclusive community builder in the electronic world has earned her an army of fans and industry followers all around the world. Andrea studied classical piano, jazz piano, singing, and guitar as a child in Canada. Graham’s magnum opus, The Librarian, was composed in the mid-2000s as she translated her abilities into the limitless realm of electronic music. The Librarian, a name inspired by her extensive music library, has gone on to become one of the most influential names in modern bass music.
Following a quiet 2021, The Librarian returns to 2022 to release her newest EP, miss u. The Librarian previously released the EP’s double-sided tracks “Howe Sound/miss u” and “Impulse/Vengeance”. Miss u is a cosmic voyage through time and sound, combining asymmetrical DnB, melodic techno, dance-floor-ready jungle, and ambient bass. Miss u is a delightfully unusual listen that digs into the minute elements of dance music and its roots, with Chicago juke edges and a rhythmic flow that softens the heaviness of current bass music.
