ColourPop Secret Admirer Eyeshadow Palette - 3 minutes read

Secret Admirer

The ColourPop Secret Admirer 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette is a new red-themed palette with shades ranging from coral to fuchsia to red. There were four shimmery colors and five matte colors. As it ended up being a more monochromatic color story, there was some redundancy, so it was better used with a few shades rather than extending to all or most of them.

With Love

With Love is a dusty coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had full pigmentation, and the texture was smooth, velvety, and a little powdery but not easily sheered out. This color lasted for about eight hours before noticeably fading.

In the Mood

In the Mood is a soft, metallic medium peach with warmer, more orange undertones. It had an opaque color payoff and a soft, loosely-pressed consistency with light fallout during the initial application. It wore well for eight hours before visibly fading.

Hey Girl

Hey Girl is a dusty, darker coral-red with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had almost opaque pigmentation that could be easily built up to full coverage with a little more. The texture was soft and blendable, but it was a little powdery. After eight hours of wear, this color began to fade.

Everlasting

Everlasting is a medium-dark pink with moderately warm undertones and a matte finish. It had an opaque color payoff and a soft, lightly powdery texture that was blendable and didn’t sheer out too easily. It lasted for eight hours before fading slightly.

2 Cute

2 Cute is a frosted neon fuchsia pink with strong, cool blue undertones. I had to really push at the surface with the edge of my brush to get product to come off the pan because the texture was firmer and stiffer to work with. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation that lasted for eight hours before visibly fading.

All Night

All Night is a dark strawberry pink with warm undertones and a matte finish. It was highly pigmented and had a smooth, velvety texture that wasn’t too powdery or too firmly pressed into the pan. This color lasted for about eight and a half hours and left a stain.

Heatin’ Up

Heatin’ Up is a medium orange-red with a pearly sheen and strong, warm undertones. It had a lightly creamy, moderately dense texture that was smooth to the touch and easily picked up product with a dry brush. It provided opaque color coverage that lasted for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

C U Tonite

C U Tonite is a rich, coppery plum with warm, red undertones and a metallic sheen. It had a softer, more yielding consistency that felt loosely pressed while remaining more emollient, so it adhered exceptionally well to bare skin and produced full pigmentation. It wore well for eight hours before visibly fading.

My Everything

My Everything is a rich red with cool undertones and a matte finish. Because the product had a firmer, slightly stiffer texture in the pan, it didn’t blend out as easily as the other matte shades in the palette. It provided opaque color coverage that lasted for eight hours and left a stain.
