how to make your own design logo easily in 2021 - 3 minutes read
There are four main types of content that you can use for your logos: Icons, Text, Shapes, and Background. One of the bigger DesignEvo cons is the inability of adding content manually, but at least the choice is rather big.
Icons
Icons are vector graphics that you can use for your logos in conjunction with text. They are arranged by categories, but since there are millions of them, not all are shown. It may not be a photo editor, but this part of DesignEvo still relies on your creativity, as you will need to use the search option to find the particular icons you want.
Clicking on an icon will add it to your project and keep it selected so you can work on it. While an icon is selected, you can change its colour, flip it, and change its opacity.
Text
The centrepiece of the DesignEvo content review, there is a lot you can do with text. You can choose to create a name or slogan, where names are bolded and bigger, while slogans are just body text.
Alternatively, you can create a text object by selecting a font type in the Classic tab, or going to the Art tab and choosing a premade, more colourful text object.
Other than font family and size, you can enable or disable bold, italic, uppercase, outline, and shadow/glow options, as well as set line spacing and curving.
Shapes
To further make DesignEvo feel like home, shapes have the same characteristics as icons, but a different menu. They are sorted by categories without a search option, but there are fewer of them, as they are not as crucial as icons.
Background
Finally, you can change the background of the whole project or disable it. The two-colour Gradient option is a nice touch, too, as you can use a premade gradient template and change both of its colours yourself.
Plans & Pricing
Free – DesignEvo has low prices, but it also has a completely free version. However, its features are quite limited. The mobile app lacks icons and numerous templates, while the web one doesn’t let you save images bigger than 300×300 pixels. The company requires you to credit DesignEvo for each logo you create for free, but at least you get to try the program before buying it.
Basic – You can download logos as transparent .png files with a resolution as big as 5000×5000 pixels. They can also be edited, re-downloaded, and prepared for printing this way. You’ll get lifetime support, and you won’t be required to credit DesignEvo. The cost of this DesignEvo plan is $39.99.
Plus – For $99.99, the highest tier of the DesignEvo pricing options, you can save logos in the most popular vector format, .svg, or the best format for sharing them, .pdf. You will be allowed to download each and every font family that this program uses and even become the copyright owner of your logos. This means that you’ll be completely able to use them for both commercial and non-commercial projects.
The paid versions of DesignEvo don’t make it more suitable for photography or any other form of graphic design but are still great overall. Their money-back guarantee lasts 7 days.
