“Wish on an Eyelash,” the opening track from Mallrat’s album Butterfly Blue, was made available earlier this year. It only lasted for 58 seconds. But for Pt. 2, she has partnered with The Chainsmokers for Pt. 2, a continuation and sequel to the first. As you might expect, the opening 58 seconds of the sequel are nearly identical to the previous song before Drew’s voice enters and the song changes to a gentle duet. The collaboration’s sound is similar to The Chainsmokers‘ most recent album’s exploration of a LoFi sound, but it also beautifully complements Mallrat’s own voice.
