Mashonda Has Released A New Single Titled “Forbidden Fruit” - 1 minute read

Mashonda, an R&B singer, has just released her new single “Forbidden Fruit.” The upbeat tune is her first since her 2020 single “King.” “King” was meant to be the lead song from her impending EP, but nothing came out after that, likely owing to the epidemic. We’re not sure if “Forbidden Fruit” is from the same body of work, but it’s always thrilling to hear new music from her. The singer’s most recent release was her 2012 mixtape “Love Mashonda.” That project features a duet with Lil’ Mo on the song “Mystery.”

Mashonda was slated to release her debut album “January Joy” in 2005, following a few features in the early 2000s. It was released in Japan but was later canceled in the United States. Despite containing the major singles “Hold Me” starring Kanye West and “The World is Ours,” the album received mixed reviews.
