I'm highlighting the best parts of my keto experience.
Note that I am not a dietitian, nutritionist, or member of the medical profession.
Do your homework, consult your physician, and move on at your own risk.

I've often struggled with my weight, especially after each child.
I do think I look good at any size, but being 5'2" and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds got to be too much for me.
I could hardly climb a flight of stairs or run with my kids without getting out of breath, and my body fat percentage was dangerously high.
I started again with the intention of being a healthier version of myself and a more active mother.
Although there are many different types of beauty, I was genuinely uncomfortable, so I made the decision to quit whining and do action instead.
I decided to restart my keto journey while I was in quarantine rather than eat my way through the day.
It's crucial to collect measurements and progress pictures at the start of any fitness quest. It's okay to weigh yourself, but the figure on the scale never accurately reflects your progress. Before taking progress pictures earlier this week, I was really feeling a little defeated.
I was quite impressed with these outcomes! LOL
+Why I Choose The Keto Diet
The Keto Diet worked for me because I am an instant gratification gal and I am aware that weight loss and wellbeing are journeys. The idea wasn't entirely alien to me because I've dabbled in keto a few times over the years.

The Ketogenic Diet – A Keto Guide for Beginners:
Due to its tendency to deviate from conventional nutritional guidelines, the ketogenic diet is quite divisive. It surely ranks high among the current trendy diets.
I don't intend to continue doing this for the rest of my life. However, it does assist me in managing my addiction to carbs and sugar, and as a result, I am consuming a lot more nutritious things.
You aim to consume no more than a specified number of net carbs (carbs minus fiber) per day, depending on your weight.
My daily objective for intake is to stay under 25 grams of net carbohydrates ., despite ingesting 130 grams of fat and 90 grams of protein each day.
There are numerous keto diet calculators available to assist you in determining your net carb target.
I utilized If It Fits Your Macros and the MyFitness Pal app to monitor my daily calorie consumption. Another useful app for keeping track of meals is the Keto Diet App, which also offers a calculator for the keto diet.
How Long Does It Take To Get Into Ketosis?
It usually takes 5-7 days of adhering to your net carb goal for your body to enter the ketosis state, which causes it to start utilizing fat as fuel.
The quickest way to enter ketosis is to fast entirely or eat only one meal a day for one to three days; however, that approach wasn't for me. You can learn more about how ketosis functions in detail by reading the aforementioned article or performing a quick internet search.
What Can You Eat On Keto?
A ketogenic diet consists primarily of low-carb, high-fat foods. I consume a lot of lean meats, leafy greens, eggs, cheese, and good fats like avocados and coconut (mtc) oil. I adore avocados and am certain that I will turn the color of the Hulk at the end of this.
Now that you all know why Luke is obsessed with guacamole, LOL!
With the exception of berries, fruit is essentially off-limits. I can live without pasta and bread (there are low-carb versions), but I can't do without fruit indefinitely.
The secret is to concentrate on what you can eat and come up with enjoyable meals within your restrictions.
My meals are relatively straightforward during the week because I typically eat something different from the family:
Keto Breakfast Ideas :
1- bacon, chicken sausage, eggs (over medium or scrambled with cheese), and half an avocado.
2-pancakes or waffles, eggs, and bacon with a couple strawberries on top.
3-morning tacos (using lowcarb wraps or cheese based taco shells)
mix is linked in my Amazon shop.
Keto Lunch Ideas :
1-Salad with Air-Fried Chicken Wings
2-Bunless Bacon Cheese Burger with
steamed vegetables or zucchini fries
3-Wraps of lettuce or chicken with cheese, spinach, tomatoes, pickles, onions, and mustard on low-carb tortillas
Keto Dinner Ideas :
Steamed broccoli, asparagus, and cauliflower with chicken breast with a side salad.
stuffed salmon and mashed cauliflowertvSir-fried shrimp with cauliflower rice
using low-carb tortillas for tacos
Peppers stuffed with Belle
utilizing low-carb tortilla chips for nachos.
*Note: I also frequently air fry salmon and chicken.
Keto Snacks Ideas :
1-Cheese sticks
2- Pickles
3-Tuna
4- Carbmaster yogurt (Kroger brand)
5-Strawberries or Blueberries
6-Protein milkshakes
7-Pork rinds
I also practice intermittent fasting, which involves eating all of my meals inside an 8-hour window, in order to speed up my weight loss (noon-8pm). Every day I get up between 7:00 and 7:00 am, but I follow the same eating schedule.
I have a Keto Pinterest page in addition to the ones above, and one of my favorite Instagram chefs, , has a ton of amazing keto recipes!
Drinks :
1-Mostly water
2-Bullet Proof Coffee (to start the day)
3-Powerade Zero (after workout)
4-Minute Maid Light (with dinner)
Sole Water
You'll need a non-metal water bottle and lid to make solo water. I use a glass water bottle for mine, but you could also use a big mason jar. First, add 1/4 cup of pink himalayan salt to the jar.
Then, add 1 cup of bottled or filtered water.
Let the jar sit for 24 hours at room temperature.
Add 1 tablespoon of your Sole to a bottle or tumbler of water every day after 24 hours.
If you find that to be too much, just sip on a bottle of Powerade Zero per day
Although I can't say it has the same advantages, it will unquestionably assist in maintaining your electrolytes.
Keto Sweet Snacks aka Junk Food+
I do occasionally get desires for junk food or snacks, but I've found some delicious keto sweet snacks to help me stay on track with my keto journey.
From their protein power to cookies, protein bars to tortilla chips, and omg their pizzas, I adore pretty much everything made by Quest Nutrition. Enlightened keto ice cream has been a small piece of heaven for me as well; my fave flavors are Red Velvet and Chocolate Glazed Doughnut.
I don't consume any of these foods daily, but I do like them once or twice a week as a small treat.
My Workout Routine
When gyms shut down I lost all motivation to work out. Most weeks all of my exercise came from chasing the kids and daily family walks but I still made progress because exercise is only 20-30% of the battle. Have you heard the saying “abs are made in the kitchen”? Well, it’s true because YOU CANNOT OUTWORK A POOR DIET!
Mid April I began doing workouts every morning to start the day. I make sure do them first thing because I’m usually spent from parenting and working by the end of the day.
I think of it as giving myself 30 minutes before I give to anyone else. Most days I get up 30 min to an hour before the kids to get it done and some days they sit in the living room and watch and and on some days they watch TV while seated in the living room.
I've been using Beach Body's 21 Day Fix workout program when working out alone; you can either purchase the DVD or use their on-demand streaming service.
James makes it a point to join me a few times per week as we complete the Strength of Seduction Couples Workouts. Additionally, I continue to take the kids for daily evening walks (2-3 miles).
