Sources: Bridgewater's knee OK; CMC likely out - 1 minute read
The Carolina Panthers might be without both starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and top running back Christian McCaffrey next Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
An MRI showed no structural damage in Bridgewater's right knee, a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen, but the quarterback is experiencing soreness and swelling and his status for Sunday's game is uncertain.
McCaffrey, meanwhile, is unlikely to play against the Lions due to his shoulder injury, which sidelined him for Sunday's 46-23 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Panthers are still preparing for McCaffrey to have a multiweek absence, the source said.
