Kanye West Has Confirmed YEEZY, Gap, And Balenciaga As Collaborators - 2 minutes read

Kanye West has confirmed YEEZY, Gap, and Balenciaga as collaborators. It was only a matter of time after collaborating with Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna Gvasalia, on various projects for over a year––most recently, DONDA and the fundraiser where he helped raise $1 million for the late DMX’s family with the luxury brand––that the two would team up again to create something with their respective brands. The collaboration will be a three-way collaboration with Gap, according to reports.

Kanye West and Demna are reportedly collaborating on a special project with Gap called “YEEZY x Gap Engineered by Balenciaga.” The deal will bring the three popular fashion brands together for something that fans have never seen before, according to the companies.

People can see what appears to be a contract for the upcoming partnership between the three brands in a photo shared by Kanye West on Instagram on Friday, January 7. He didn’t go into any further detail.

“It is a vision come true to work with Gap and Demna, the creative director of Balenciaga, to make incredible product available to everyone at all times,” Ye told the press.

The collection won’t just be Balenciaga at Gap prices. Demna has made it clear that: “This is a very different challenge. I’ve always appreciated the utilitarianism and the accessibility of Gap. I share some of the same sensibilities in my creative language. This project allowed me to join forces [with Ye] to create utilitarian fashion for all.”

The first line of Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga merchandise is expected to arrive in June 2022, with another drop coming later in the year.
