ColourPop Gotta Agate Eyeshadow Quad - 2 minutes read

Gotta Agate

The ColourPop Gotta Agate Pressed Powder Shadow Quad is a new agate-inspired color story that comes in a clear plastic compact with two shimmers and two matte shades. The matte shades had a more semi-opaque, buildable coverage, and their textures weren’t as high-end as the shimmer shades, but they were still easy to work with, and those who use primer should find them even easier to use than I did.

Gem BB

Gem BB has a reddish-plum base with duochrome shimmer that shifts from bluish-teal to purple, giving it a gleaming, metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer and a moderately emollient but slightly fragile texture, so applying it with a fingertip helped it adhere more smoothly and without fallout (a dry brush had slight fallout). It lasted for eight hours before visibly fading.

So Healing

So Healing is a medium-dark plum with a smooth, metallic sheen and subtle, warm undertones. The eyeshadow was highly pigmented, and the color was applied smoothly and evenly. It picked up well with a dry brush because the texture was lightly creamy, dense without being thick or too firmly pressed into the pan. It lasted for about eight hours before starting to fade.

Psychic

Psychic is a matte-finish dark rosy mauve with subtle cool undertones. Despite being slightly thinner and less velvety than recent ColourPop matte eyeshadows, it had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly and blended out well. It lasted for eight hours before noticeably fading.

Long Distance

Long Distance is a matte-finish blackened plum with subtle warm undertones. Because the consistency was slightly drier and powdery, you’ll want to apply it with caution to avoid fallout. It had a semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that lasted for eight hours before visibly fading.
