Urban Decay Wild Greens New Eyeshadow Palette - 4 minutes read
Wild Greens
The Urban Decay Wild Greens Eyeshadow Palette is a new eyeshadow palette with green, brown, and coral shades. There were six matte eyeshadows, five shimmer eyeshadows, and one satin eyeshadow in the set. It wasn’t the worst of Urban Decay, which is an odd compliment to pay; the palette was usable and workable with primer. The shimmers were drier and stiffer, whereas the mattes were powdery but often pigmented, buildable, and blendable.
Chill
Chill is a pale yellowy peach with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had a soft, lightly powdery texture and provided semi-opaque coverage that was applied evenly to bare skin. It lasted for about eight hours before becoming visibly faded.
Lo-fi
Lo-fi is a matte medium-dark peachy coral with warm undertones. The texture was moderately powdery, thin, and prone to fallout, but I had no trouble getting opaque pigmentation out of it. It lasted about eight hours before fading slightly.
Kickback
Kickback is a medium brown with a matte finish and subtle, warm undertones. It appeared to have a grayer or ashy base because it appeared gray when applied and blended out. The texture was slightly powdery and prone to fallout, but it provided opaque coverage. It wore well for eight hours before noticeably fading.
Urban Decay Fuzz 24/7 Eyeshadow
Fuzz
Fuzz has a medium copper base with green-to-gold shifting sparkle flecks. Because the texture was loosely pressed, there was some fallout when I worked with it. To get more even, opaque coverage from this shade, I’d recommend using a dampened fingertip or a dampened brush. It lasted for about eight hours before becoming visibly faded.
Turmeric
Turmeric has a matte finish and is a medium-dark orange with moderate, warm undertones. The eyeshadow was densely pigmented, with a soft, blendable texture that was slightly powdery but not sheering out. It lasted about eight hours before fading slightly.
Hi-Vibe
Hi-Vibe is a light pink-coral with warm undertones and a pearl finish. It provided mostly opaque color coverage, but the texture was thin and stiff, making it difficult to apply evenly. It wore well for seven and a half hours before noticeably fading.
Earthside
Earthside is a matte light-medium brown with muted, warm undertones. It provided opaque color coverage while remaining blendable thanks to its soft, lightly powdery texture. It lasted for about eight hours before becoming visibly faded.
Supergreens
Supergreens is a pale green with warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft and powdery, but it blended well and had full color payoff. It lasted about eight hours before fading slightly.
Prickly
Prickly is a pale minty green with warm undertones and a frosted finish. When applied to skin, the texture was thin, stiff, and a little dry, resulting in a more textured finish. It provided semi-opaque coverage that worked best when applied with a fingertip. It wore well for eight hours before noticeably fading.
Twist
Twist is a light green with warm undertones and a glistening finish. It provided sheer coverage and a drier, fallout-prone consistency. It was visible for about six hours before it faded.
Kale
Kale has a pale green hue with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had an opaque color payoff with a soft, powdery texture that had some fallout but wasn’t sheering out. It lasted about eight hours before fading slightly.
Stash
Stash is a rich olive green with warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied fairly evenly, but the thinner, slightly stiffer texture made it difficult to work with. It wore well for seven and a half hours before noticeably fading.
