Ashanti has released her new single “Falling For You,” which she co-wrote with Yung Bleu. The midtempo tune is a trademark Ashanti record that will undoubtedly transport R&B fans back to the days of “Foolish” and “Rain On Me.”

The singer has stated that this is the beginning of the next chapter in her career. She already released the song “2:35 (I Want You)” before to this single. It’s been nearly eight years since Ashanti’s previous album, “Braveheart,” was released on eOne. It appears that she will continue to work as an independent artist under her label Written Entertainment.

Ashanti was recently honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She’s also now in the studio finishing up the rerecording of her self-titled debut album, which turns 20 this year.
