The Nooran Sisters’ “Patakha Guddi” Remix Features DJ Snake And Wade - 2 minutes read

The Nooran Sisters wrote the song “Patakha Guddi” for the film Highway in 2014, and it shot to the top of the charts. As a result, they won two Mirchi Music Awards in 2015 for “Upcoming Female Vocalist Of The Year” and “Vocalist (Female) Of The Year,” as well as the Best Music Debut award from the Global Indian Music Academy Awards and the Best Female Playback Singer award from the Screen Awards. This year, home producers remixed the catchy vocal rhythm in large numbers after a video of the sisters performing the song at the Punjabi Music Awards in 2015 went popular on TikTok and Instagram. The seven-year-old clip’s sudden reappearance on social media is unknown, but the rhythm’s immediate appeal proved a surefire path to viral fame.

After a few months have passed, DJ Snake and Wade have collaborated to create an official remix of the original hit. The structure of “Guddi Riddim” is similar to that of a few earlier Snake successes, such as “Magenta Riddim” and “Maradona Riddim,” as he adds a touch of Indian flavor to his music. It should come as no surprise that this new adaptation retains the original’s catchy rhythm and melody. The video is below.
