Alicia Keys Unlocks Hidden Gem to Mark 20 Years of ‘The Diary of Alicia Keys’ - 3 minutes read


Alicia Keys is gearing up to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of her highly acclaimed sophomore album, “The Diary of Alicia Keys.” To mark this milestone, she will be releasing a special edition of the album on December 1st. This special edition, titled “The Diary of Alicia Keys 20,” will include the complete original album, along with nine bonus tracks, including the previously unreleased song “Golden Child” from Alicia’s personal vault.

Additionally, to further enhance the celebration, four newly uprezzed music videos from the original album will be made available on Alicia’s YouTube channel on Friday, November 3rd. These music videos include “Karma,” “You Don’t Know My Name,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” and a live version of “Diary” featuring Tony! Toni! Toné! and Jermaine Paul.

When “The Diary of Alicia Keys” was first released on December 2, 2003, it quickly achieved remarkable success by debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It notably had the best first week’s sales for a female artist that year. The album became Alicia Keys’ second consecutive #1 album and produced three Top 10 singles, namely “You Don’t Know My Name,” “If I Ain’t Got You,” and “Diary.” This album played a pivotal role in solidifying Alicia Keys’ status as a musical icon and contributed significantly to her career.
