Mashonda, a singer/songwriter, has released a new single titled “Positive Distraction.” The summer groove was issued by her own company, Tifrere Music. The song will be on Mashonda’s upcoming EP “Note To Self,” which will be released this fall. Fans of 1980s music will appreciate Mashonda’s homage to The Police’s 1981 smash “Everything She Does Is Magic,” which impacted part of the song’s chorus tune.

The song “Forbidden Fruit,” which was published earlier this year, will also be featured on the next EP. Mashonda continues to curate art through her organization Art LeadHer, a platform committed to encouraging women in the arts, in addition to the music releases.
