Let’s Talk About Things That Must Go-On Even Post-Covid - 3 minutes read
Covid brought a tremendous change with it in the last couple of years. And like any other thing these changes too have their own set of pros and cons.
There’s a silver lining to this pandemic. Have you noticed you’ve developed healthier habits this year? Spending more time outside? Talking more with your partner, or reconnecting with old friends? You’re not the only one.
If we look at the status quo, our days are going to continue to look different for a while, so it’s important to establish a “new (temporary) normal.” For instance, in these unprecedented times, we need to remain flexible to best handle the situation.
Thus, it is imperative to continue some good habits even in the post-covid era. Let’s talk about these things in detail.
Things That Must Go-On Even Post-Covid
1. Flexibility and acceptance are our best lessons
The two best things that we nailed during the pandemic are acceptability and flexibility. We became pro in altering ourselves as per the scenario in order to keep the work going.
The pandemic has made us more acceptable. We stopped complaining about every little thing. ‘Peace out’ is our new mantra.
2. We understand the meaning of ‘Health is wealth’
There are numerous people who started going for morning walks and are choosing healthy foods over junk foods. These small shifts have the potential to bring significant changes.
So why not try and schedule your exercise routine into your work day, just like a meeting or a lunch break. There are plenty of free exercise classes run in the city. Don’t break this change.
Other Healthy habits include:
1. Eating nutritiously
2. Exercising regularly
3. Maintaining an adequate and consistent sleep schedule
4. Spending time outdoors each day
3. Made people tech-savvy
Tech-driven products like smart vending machines, home oxygen concentrators, etc., brought us close to technology. And this change is one of the few great things that has happened to mankind.
For instance, with home oxygen concentrators, people with respiratory issues became pro in using them and this enabled them to be more regular with their oxygen therapy.
4. Bring balance in your work life
If you’re one of the many Americans working from home during the pandemic, you may be trying to figure out how to be productive in both your home and work roles, without sacrificing one or the other.
Setting work hours for yourself during this time can help you get more done and alleviate guilt.
For instance, one way to help you transition between work- and home-mode is to establish a dedicated workspace. You complete all your work in this space and leave it when the workday is over.
Summary
Everything has a good side to it and the above-mentioned habits are the good sides of an otherwise vicious pandemic. We need to continue these habits that are turning us healthy physically and mentally. And remember, life is unpredictable and good health is our only weapon.
