Manila, Philippines — Magnolia and Rain or Shine both won their respective games in the PBA On Tour on Sunday, July 24.

Magnolia blew out Phoenix, 111–91, at the FilOil EcoOil Centre. The Hotshots were led by Jio Jalalon and Mark Barroca, who had 22 and 19 points, respectively.
Jalalon was in control from the start, scoring 13 points in the first quarter to help Magnolia build a 25–17 lead. The Hotshots continued to pour it on in the second quarter, outscoring Phoenix 30–18 to take a 55–35 lead at halftime.
Phoenix made a run in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 10 points, but Magnolia responded with a 16–4 run to put the game away.
Barroca was also effective for Magnolia, hitting 4 of 7 three-pointers. The Hotshots shot 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range.
For Phoenix, RJ Jazul led the way with 21 points. Jason Perkins added 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Rain or Shine, meanwhile, defeated Blackwater, 131–107, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo. The Elasto Painters were led by Gabe Norwood and Beau Belga, who had 24 and 23 points, respectively.
Norwood was in a zone in the first half, scoring 16 points to help Rain or Shine take a 57–42 lead at halftime. The Elasto Painters continued to pull away in the second half, outscoring Blackwater 37–27 to seal the victory.
Belga was also effective for Rain or Shine, hitting 7 of 12 shots from the field. The Elasto Painters shot 54% from the field and 39% from three-point range.
For Blackwater, Kevin Alas led the way with 23 points. Scottie Thompson added 21 points and 10 rebounds.
The wins kept Magnolia and Rain or Shine undefeated in the PBA On Tour. Magnolia is now 9–0, while Rain or Shine is 8–0.
In other games, Meralco defeated TNT, 101–95, and NorthPort beat San Miguel, 111–104.
The PBA On Tour is a pre-season tournament that is being held in different cities in the Philippines. The tournament is a chance for teams to prepare for the upcoming PBA season.
