Boozed-up British revellers take to Magaluf's main strip as they party the night away
British revellers have not let the hottest weekend of the year so far put them off a night on the strip in Majorca's party capital - as temperatures climbed above 100F in parts of Europe.
Party-goers donned light-up hairbands, sparkly skirts and fancy dress as they danced until the early hours of the morning in Magaluf — a party destination famed for its debauchery and rowdy behaviour.
A 'Saharan bubble' hit holidaymakers as the mercury rose to 98F (37C) last night - with people taking to the streets to cool off after the sun went down.
When the party started, revellers were seen downing their drinks and dancing in the nightclubs on Magaluf's popular Punta Ballena strip, ready for a night of neon lights and brightly coloured cocktails.
And as the hours passed many were left looking the worse for wear as they lay down outside kebab shops and rested their head on their knees on the side of the road.
Groups of drinkers could be seen helping each other home as they made their way along the strip in the early hours of the morning, with many using their phones to try to contact lost friends.
