Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection for Christian Dior made its grand debut in January, promising a traditional runway spectacle set to dazzle in New York come April. On April 15, the much-anticipated show unfolded within the historic walls of the Brooklyn Museum, unveiling the collection in all its splendor.
MCG’s latest creation for the iconic French fashion house paid tribute to the enduring bond between Dior and the United States, drawing inspiration from the legendary German actress and Dior devotee, Marlene Dietrich. The collection exuded a captivating boyish allure, with silhouettes reminiscent of the 19th century. Chiuri also breathed new life into a vintage foulard featuring the French and American flags, originally crafted by former Christian Dior creative director Marc Bohan in 1966.
Among the distinguished guests presiding over the event in New York‘s second-largest museum were an array of A-list celebrities, including Anya Taylor-Joy, Rosamund Pike, Michelle Williams, and Charlize Theron.
