Louis Vuitton x NBA Collab For The Love Of Fashion And Basketball - 2 minutes read

Louis Vuitton and the NBA initially cooperated in 2020, with footwear and accessories designed by the late Virgil Abloh, before releasing a Pre-Fall capsule dubbed the “most luxurious ever.” The giant brands have rejoined for their third chapter in 2022, producing a spectacular four-piece baggage set to commemorate the NBA’s 75th anniversary.

This current collection, designed to “honor the virtues of basketball,” includes more than just regular baggage. But, when it comes to Louis Vuitton, nothing is ever average. The cooperation is highlighted in the current advertising images for the release, with “The Christopher” bag, Dopp Kit, Pocket Organizer, Malle Courrier, Keepall 55, a wooden eyeglass case, and a water bottle holder all displaying the distinctive blue, red, and white colours of the NBA emblem.

The collection also features an LV-inscribed travel trunk that will house the NBA’s new Larry O’Brien Trophy, which, like previous years, was redesigned by Tiffany & Co. The trunk’s folding doors have a hand-painted “V” for victory as well as the same LV basketball pattern.

The NBA logo appears on the zipper, and there is a red, branded basketball in the middle, among other NBA allusions. White hoop netting decorates the bag’s sides, and black hang tags add a finishing touch. The bag has the same cobalt blue monogrammed leather, NBA symbol, and branded basketball as the bag. It also has black straps and gold hardware, as well as side pockets for extra storage.

A bi-fold wallet completes the collection of accessories, as does a zippered travel pouch. The bottom of the travel bag is decorated with a gold chain and a small NBA insignia. The capsule’s prices are consistent with the label’s high standards, with the wallet costing $650, the travel bag costing $1,700, the Keep-All costing $4,300, and the backpack costing $4,600. The Louis Vuitton x NBA accessories line will be available for purchase on LV’s website beginning Thursday, June 2.
