Rihanna dons colorful avant-garde look on the cover of Harper's Bazaar China

She's poised to make her mark in luxury fashion.  

Rihanna stunned in colorful avant-garde looks with a traditional Chinese twist on the cover of Harper's Bazaar China's July issue. 

The 31-year-old mogul shared snaps of the new issue on her Instagram account on Tuesday.

'After four years, Rihanna is back to be our cover star and again shows when western style icon meets eastern aesthetic,' Harper's Bazaar China said.

The hitmaker is seen on the cover flashing a bit of cleavage in a spectacular accordion pleated metallic blue gown which billowed up over her arms and featured a plunging neckline.  

Offsetting the blue hues, which were also featured in the background, is an oversized red bow belt tied to one side and fashioned with a silvery rhinestone encrusted bird brooch.

The beauty from Barbados is partially covering her face in the image with a sheer fan and her makeup was applied to have a golden glow.

Rihanna's hair was styled in a traditional Chinese style, adorned with combs.

In the comments section of her Instagram post, there was a limited number of people accusing her of cultural appropriation for the cover.

Members of her loyal fanbase, the Rihanna Navy, jumped in on her behalf to nip the haters in the bud, pointing out that she is on the cover of a Chinese magazine and styled by an East Asian stylist.

'I’m not tryin to see anyone come screaming about cultural appropriation because the stylist is East Asian okay, let’s make that clear,' one fan wrote. 

In a second shot, the Fenty Beauty founder was literally a-glow in a structured billowing chartreuse one shoulder gown with pouf sleeves.

Rihanna was painted up with neon blush and eyemakeup and she was surrounded by electric looking fluorescent butterflies.

The sensational star posed in front of a neon, glowing Chinese dragon. 

'Singer, icon, entrepreneur...... Rihanna ( ) has different titles and gets more and more influence at the same time,' Harper's wrote on social media. '

'With the influence, she chooses to make a voice for the minority, showing the incredible feminine power.   

'Being born in Barbados, Rihanna( )has worked her way up from "nobody" to "somebody" with her musical talents. She is now a role model for girls all over the world, and she is even the "king of pop". 

The star's fashion forward cover comes after the launch of her high-end fashion label Fenty, under under luxury fashion group LVMH.
