GETTING RID OF FAT - THE 3 BIGGEST SECRETS TO FAT LOSS - 5 minutes read
Who else wants to discover productive ways for getting rid of fat and keeping it off?
A recent search engine query that I made on getting rid of fat brought up some very interesting and yet disturbing results. Just about every result on the first page advised exercises targeted directly to the abdominals with the claim that in order to get rid of fat in the abdominal area calls for abdominal exercises. Surgical intervention was also at the top of the list.
It is obvious at this point that the buildup of fat, in the abdominal area especially, is very dangerous. In fact, I have read countless studies and research that outline the serious medical conditions that arise from the accumulation of visceral fat such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. However, an endless array of abdominal exercises is not the best answer for getting rid of fat around the trunk. In fact, the last thing you need to do is focus on exercises targeted specifically on the abdominals. Spot reduction does not work.

Do you want to know what DOES work? Here is a list of 3 approaches that will work for getting rid of fat throughout your whole body.
1. Make the determination that you are in it for the long haul. Burning abdominal fat can be a long process.
I can't help but sympathize for people I talk to that jump on the band wagon of quick fix diet solutions. They work really hard at that 30 day diet plan consisting of meals that they will never eat again and in amounts that can be outright dangerous. Some diets advise long periods of fasting or drastic cuts in calories for weeks. This type of diet is also likely to create other serious health concerns.
It is true that some of these people may lose some weight. However, the weight loss is usually only brief. The weight comes back even stronger once they are off of the diet. They then become annoyed and discouraged because they feel like they have wasted their time with nothing permanent to show for their effort of getting rid of fat. They beat themselves up because they feel like they have failed. The truth is that it isn't really their fault. Without knowing ahead of time, they became victim of great marketing tactics that led them to believe what they were told about fat loss.
My advice to them and to you... make the determination now that you are in it for the long haul. Give the best effort possible and keep going until you have rid yourself of the fat that you want to get rid of.
2. Supply your body with what it needs and not things that make it go into defensive mode.
What does that mean? Most everyone knows that good nutrition helps for getting rid of fat, defend against diseases, repair tissue that has been injured through daily activities, and build new tissue for growth. Eating whole fruits and vegetables, whole grains and high quality lean protein gives you the right components to make the necessary safeguards.
Foods containing highly processed sugar and grain products that have been stripped and then enriched are more likely to wreak havoc on your body and promote health issues and exhaustion. Inflammation then results and can elevate your risk of deadly medical conditions. Eating the right foods can sometimes be a challenge. When you have trouble, refer to secret number 1 and keep fighting.
3. Implementing an interval training routine for getting rid of fat is the most successful exercise system. Modern research suggests that interval training strategies are more productive at burning fat in less time than conventional cardio. Effective exercise places a tremendous challenge on the body. The body then has to make adjustments to adapt to those challenges.
Long bouts of traditional cardio exercises can be successful for getting rid of fat over time. But who wants to wait longer than necessary to see the benefits. High intensity exercises push your body to make those adaptations faster. This makes your body more efficient at utilizing fat stores.
Getting rid of fat with interval training strategies can be completed with as little as 4 minutes 5 day per week. Other protocols require only 3 days a week for 20 minutes. A famous study performed by Tabata concluded that 8 sets of interval training circuits increased endurance ability by 14% in just 6 weeks compared to 9.5% in a group that completed 60 minutes of moderate intensity exercise of the same time period. Both groups showed enhancements in endurance. However, what's really important is that the interval training group also improved the length of time they could exercise at full speed before fatiguing. There was no change in the moderate intensity group.
This just shows that you don't need to throw away 60 minutes on the treadmill to get excellent results at getting rid of fat. Interval training techniques can trim down the amount of time required to finish an exercise routine that is successful at getting rid of fat.
