If you have a nail polish dryer, that’s ideal! This is faster than blowing your nails dry with your mouth. Before you begin painting your nails, remember to grab the dryer and plug it in close by. You wouldn’t want to hang your clothes in the dryer with wet nails, would you?

Dip Into Ice Cold Water

If you don’t have a blow dryer, water and ice cubes will come in handy. Fill a bowl halfway with water and add about 2-3 ice cubes. Wait about two minutes after painting your nails to allow the polish to set so that it adheres completely to your nails. Then, dip your nails into cold water for a few minutes and hold them there. When you see water beading on top of the nail surface, your nail lacquer is completely dry. Rep the procedure for each coat.

Spray It!

I have yet to try this method, but many beauty enthusiasts swear by it. A spritz of nonstick cooking oil is said to be an excellent way to shorten the drying time of nail polish. If you don’t have any cooking oil, a little hairspray will do the trick. After you’ve painted your nails, spritz a little cooking spray on your wet manicure while holding the can about 30 centimeters away from your hand. This prevents the force of the aerosol from smudging the wet polish. Wait a few moments before rinsing your hands with cold water.
