Louis Vuitton Elevates Olympic Triumphs with Iconic Travel Trunks - 2 minutes read

In a testament to their dedication to athletic excellence, Louis Vuitton has crafted the Medals Trunks and Torches Trunks for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. These trunks embody the maison’s renowned craftsmanship and trunk-making legacy, reflecting Monsieur Louis Vuitton’s design philosophy of creating trunks that protect and display their precious contents.

The Medals Trunks, adorned with Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas and featuring brass corners and closures, are designed to hold the medals symbolizing the athletes’ trials and triumphs. The trunk opens with French doors reminiscent of the Malle Coiffeuse, revealing specially designed drawers and a black matte leather interior that houses all 468 medals.

Similarly, the Torches Trunks, created to hold the Olympic and Paralympic Torches designed by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, blend functionality with elegance. These trunks, lined with Louis Vuitton’s emblematic Damier canvas and featuring brass corners and closures, securely hold the torches with circular sockets and soft black matte leather.

The Olympic Torch will travel from Olympia to Marseille to Paris, while the Paralympic Torch will arrive from Stoke Mandeville in August, with the trunks ensuring their safe transit.

Highlighting their commitment to the athletic spirit, over 30 Louis Vuitton employees will participate in the Olympic Torch Relay, joining more than 11,000 torchbearers on the journey to Paris.
