5 movies leaving Hulu in November you have to watch - 5 minutes read
Hulu subscribers realize that this streaming service really does have one of the best movie libraries available. Unfortunately, that lineup is always changing, and what’s new on Hulu one month might, which will give you plenty of time to catch the movies you want to watch before they go out the door.
Our picks for the five movies leaving Hulu in November that you have to watch include a breezy sports comedy, two movies directed by the Coen brothers, a romantic fantasy, and one of the few Marvel movies that you’re likely to never see on Disney+.
Bend It Like Beckham (2002)
Searchlight Pictures
There’s a new soccer comedy out this month called Next Goal Wins, but that movie has an uphill battle when it comes to displacing our favorite soccer movie, Bend It Like Beckham. Parminder Nagra stars as Jesminder “Jess” Kaur Bhamra, a talented young soccer player whose family doesn’t know about her ambitions to play because Jess is fully aware that they wouldn’t approve.
Don't Miss:
Juliette “Jules” Paxton (Keira Knightley) quickly befriends Jess and recruits her for a local soccer team, which is coached by Joe (Jonathan Rhys Meyers). But when both Jess and Jules develop romantic feelings for Joe, it threatens their bond. Jess is also forced to choose between going to her sister’s wedding or playing in the most important soccer game of her life.

Raising Arizona (1987)
20th Century Studios
Raising Arizona was only the second feature film directed by Joel and Ethan Coen, but the Coen brothers’ signature sense of humor was already taking form in this flick. Nicolas Cage (Dream Scenario) and Holly Hunter co-headline the movie as a pair of mismatched lovers, Herbert I. “Hi” McDunnough and Edwina “Ed” McDunnough, respectively.
Because Ed is infertile, the couple decides to kidnap one of the quintuplet infant sons of businessman Nathan Arizona, Sr. (Trey Wilson). Hi and Ed also do their best to be parents, despite being completely unprepared for it. But when young Nathan Jr. is kidnapped by Gale (John Goodman) and Evelle Snoats (William Forsythe), the McDunnoughs will have to decide what’s really in the best interest of their illegally adopted child.

Hail Caesar! (2016)
Universal Pictures
The Coen brothers also directed Hail Caesar! It’s one of their later films together and it attracted an all-star cast including George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, Tilda Swinton, Ralph Fiennes, Channing Tatum, Alden Ehrenreich (Fair Play), and more. The film itself focuses on Josh Brolin’s Eddie Mannix, a studio fixer whose entire job revolves around saving movie stars from their own scandals in the early ’50s.
Mannix really has his hands full this time when communist screenwriters kidnap Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) and win the actor over with their rhetoric. As the studio prepares to pay a ransom for Whitlock’s return, Mannix struggles to keep the story out of the press while also dealing with other celebrity problems before they become too big to handle.

Midnight In Paris (2011)
Sony Pictures Classics
Midnight in Paris is a time travel story, but it’s more of a romantic fantasy than it is sci-fi. Owen Wilson stars as Gil Pender, a struggling writer who is in a strained relationship with his fiancée, Inez (Rachel McAdams). While vacationing in Paris, Gil is inexplicitly transported back in time to the 1920s, where he gets to pal around with famous authors F. Scott Fitzgerald (Tom Hiddleston), Ernest Hemingway (Corey Stoll), and Gertrude Stein (Kathy Bates), as well as iconic artists like Salvador Dalí (Asteroid City‘s Adrien Brody).
During Gil’s repeated visits back in time, he forms a romantic bond with a woman named Adriana (Marion Cotillard), who like Gil, romanticizes the past. Now, Gil has to decide which time period he should live in, and which woman he truly wants to be with.

Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Lionsgate
In 2008, the late Ray Stevenson starred in the only Punisher movie that’s worth anyone’s time: Punisher: War Zone. This reboot is very true to the spirit of Marvel’s vigilante antihero, but it upends the crusade of Frank Castle (Stevenson) when he learns that he has unknowingly murdered an undercover FBI agent, Nicky Donatelli (Romano Orzari).
That was Castle’s first mistake. His second was not making sure that mafia assassin, Billy “The Beaut” Russoti (Dominic West), was dead. Russoti survives his horrific wounds at Castle’s hands and reinvents himself as a supervillain called Jigsaw. Now, Castle not only has to contend with a new nemesis, but he also has to deal with Donatelli’s vengeful partner, FBI Agent Paul Budiansky (Colin Salmon), while also protecting Donatelli’s widow, Angela Donatelli (Julie Benz), and their daughter, Grace, (Stephanie Janusauskas), from a mob reprisal over her husband’s betrayal.
