GVTTA Team League: Competition and Comaraderie Near Vancouver
(by Steve Hopkins)
Every Tuesday at 7pm, the Greater Vancouver Table Tennis Association (GVTTA) runs its league in Burnaby, British Columbia. The league format is 3-person teams with 9 singles matches each round. The cumulative rating points must be under 4000, which keeps the teams relatively equal and creates some additional layers of strategy. This league is unique to the Vancouver area – a great opportunity for competition and camaraderie. Check the GVTTA website (gvtta.ca) for additional information.
GVTTA is a non-profit organization established to promote the sport of table tennis in British Columbia, Canada. Located in Burnaby, a suburb East of Vancouver, the 3200 square foot facility is easily accessible to the greater Vancouver metropolitan area.
