Put inspiration everywhere: My phone background is always set to an inspirational quote. Words of wisdom like “work for it if you want it” offer some pick-me-up every time I look at the screen.
Don’t settle for pounds: Throughout my entire journey, I’ve always relied on active goals such as 5K running or muscle building to measure my progress. Working towards real-life results is more effective than adopting most of the numbers on the scale.
Look for delicious alternatives: Instead of giving up my favourite casual foods altogether, I’m making them healthier. For my good-hash browns, for example, I cook in a tablespoon of coconut oil until soft and crispy, then I top with cinnamon and sea salt. Delicious!

15-year goal: When I’m afraid of a workout, I tell myself to try to do it in the first 15 minutes. After this point, I almost always feel more enthusiastic and want to continue.
Look for a unique reward: When I hit a goal I consider myself something healthy instead of celebrating with food, such as renting or massaging with my husband.
Change your appetite: I used to tell myself that I couldn’t have anything, which made me even more anxious. Now I say “no” to being involved in an unhealthy habit. It’s a little bit of a strategy that makes the behavior look less like a choice and part of my life.
Nail Your Emotions: I created my own mood emojis to monitor how I feel after each exercise and meal. It lets me keep tabs on what works for me and what doesn’t.

This is Instagram !: After I lost my first 40 pounds, I created an Instagram account to track my fitness. As the number of my followers increased, so did my motivation. Being part of a community made me accountable.
Get a Fitness Score for Free: There are lots of weight-loss programs that cost big bucks, but there are plenty of reputable online resources that give you the same benefits for free. One of my proverbs: Casey Howe’s blog lists.
Buy a band: When I can’t go to the gym, I go back to my resistance band; This is an easy and affordable way to add strength training on the go.
Remember the menu: I like to eat out but restaurants are much more tempting. To refrain from taking the calorie bomb at the moment, I chose a healthier option from the menu ahead of time.

Bag it up: I share all my snacks like nuts or sliced apples before the ziplock bag. This allows me to take in healthier meals while checking my serving sizes.
Quick Crush Workout: On extra busy days I order the tab do I get a full-body workout in just 20 minutes. It really raises my heart rate.
Write it down: I grab a pen and paper when I scare Jim and map out my workout; having a game plan wastes my time or prevents me from taking vacations during sessions.
Swap sweet: I like peanut butter. To avoid some of the fat that comes with it, I mix powdered type, PB2 with Greek yoghurt. It gives me a brown, creamy taste without blemish.

Rock your inspiration: At the gym, I wear bright clothes with funny quotes like “Drink coffee, put on some gangster rap and handle it”. It sets the tone for my practice.
Try an apple: If I’m not hungry for an apple, I’m not really hungry. Any time a strong thirst strikes, I eat an apple first to quench my hunger.
Judge your label: I always feel the food label. Whenever there is something listed that I can’t enhance or create myself, I put the item back. It makes unhealthy processed foods weed
Employ wisely: Lots of people have weekly holidays, but that adds up to 104 a year! Instead of depriving myself of the whole week and bejewelled on the weekends, I opted for fuel-sweetened sweets on my body, like the coconut cashews of Trader Joe.

Erica’s Weight Loss Tips:
Schedule of sweat sessions: Raising two girls keeps me pretty busy, so I have to be really creative about fitting in practice. My standard window: when my junior goes down to her and the other stays at school. I consider workouts to be meetings that I absolutely can’t miss.
Stay away from the kitchen: I always eat sweets after dinner while watching TV. To avoid temptation, I would go upstairs to see my shows instead of sitting in the living room attached to the kitchen. Thus, I am less likely to protest.
Invest in a slow cooker: This is the ultimate time-saver. The first thing in the morning, I throw something simple like turkey and sweet potatoes and there is a delicious and nutritious meal waiting for me at the end of the day.

Broadcast Your Goals: I decided to register for a 12-week body transformation competition at my gym. When I joined the challenge, I told everyone about my winning plans. The fear of losing and admitting to all my friends that I had failed kept me going.

Eat sweets early: I like to eat desserts (cookies, cakes) in the morning. Thus, I have the whole day to burn it.
Say yes to Seltzer: There is a big difference between switching to soda for sparkling water. I especially like Walmart’s Clear American in key lime flavours. This is lemon-lime soda — without all the calories.
Cook with coconut oil: This is a must in my kitchen because it is a healthy alternative to a few other fats. It tastes a bit sweet when I lightly fry the food like my domestic chicken fingers.
