Hey! I’m going to keep this blog post to the point, but also place enough emphasis on what I’d like you to take away. At the end of my blog post I’ve added a little challenge for you guys today. If you’re in the midst of it, or you’ve completed it let me know!! There can be a lot of anxiety that comes from uncertainty, and especially right now there is so much unpredictability. As a young girl, I’ve always been so anxious of every little thing and it really held me back. I’m writing this article today to help you cope with any kind of anxiety and mental stress you might be feeling. There is no magic pill or potion that will make a feeling like this go away overnight. There is only persistency and practise through shifting your mindset. So perhaps during this non too pleasant time, you’re taking it easy, or you’re at a loss of what to do. Find whatever it is that amplifies this feeling and get rid of it/ reverse it. If it’s the news or your phone you are consumed by and you know it’s not helping you in any way, shut it off. For a couple hours, shut it off. Shut your tv off, and certainly shut the news off. If it’s a thought, change your thought process. Read something uplifting that will help you emotionally connect with the article or book. You must identify and accept that you are anxious or feeling down but it’s something you CAN overcome if you have faith. I read an article today and I recommend it to whoever is looking for something to read! The article is called “With You Is Power” by Henry Thomas Hamblin. It’s an older article but a lot of his points are exactly what many people practice in present time to better themselves. If you don’t know where to start with how overwhelmed you are, all you need to do is take the smallest step. It can even be a 5 minute daily activity. But take the step. Even if that’s rewiring a negative thought you have and reversing it. Instead of complaining about how horrible your day is so far, focus on how incredible your are to have read something today. If you’re reading this it means your reading, which is amazing! If we constantly beat ourselves up with negative thoughts, it will be a reflection of our future. Accept what is, and work with it. It can be difficult, I know! But practice once a day. Practising is key to any kind of success. Success will always be the greatness within yourself!! I want to mention that you can’t really escape how you feel, it’s more so that you have to come to terms with it and as I reiterate- work with it. If you complain, you increase your problems. So try to complain less and less. Check in on how you also might be able to contribute to these current situations. I’m not talking about making a grand donation because I know a lot of us do not have the means of doing so. But I mean even caring for a friend and checking in on them. When you do good for others you’ll feel better as well! Lastly, I always emphasize writing. Writing/ journaling will allow you to discover creativity that you probably didn’t even think you had! You are talented, and you are so skilled! But you have to experiment and utilize the tools around you to come to terms with this!! Also, please do realize the lessons you can take from any kind of unpleasant situation. Where you learn and understand, you grow. That is something else you can focus on writing about. I’m ending this post off with a challenge for you. I want you to write something today!!! Try a short story, maybe you want to write a book, or maybe you even want to write a poem!!!
